Add-on!

.

Remember when I said I was having a bad week? Well postcrossing brought a smile to my face as this gem came in the mail. The person decided to make a "MacGuyver" style postcard and this was the result. My soured mood was replaced by a bit of joy realizing that someone took the time to send me something unique. So thanks again postcrosser and look for it on my wall!

15 years later we have this? (Alternative Title) Wanna see a scary movie? No.... you don't!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I am/was in a weird place but I'm back in action so don't you despair. And since people have told me they love my movie reviews (in person, through email and through postcards) I feel I must provide my audience with what they want! So with out further awaiting :

WARNING REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!

I don't even know where to begin with this one! First off I dragged my friends and family to see this. That was a strike against me. Then we when we enter the movie we realize that the rest of the audience was teenagers who were all playing on their cell phones and giggling. Strike two. Broken smashed seats covered with garbage bags helps to round out the 3rd strike against me.
And the movie hadn't even started yet! That is a classic right there. So then the movie begins. (I should have blogged this last night when it was fresher in my mind). I just going to make a list of what was wrong. Here goes (in no particular order):

1) The dialogue was straight awful. It was like it was written for a new target audience of 16-20 year olds that haven't seen the original trilogy.
2) I know movies are never 100 percent realistic but c'mon here. Example: a character received a knife straight through the head (centre line above the eyes). The character is able to get out of his police car and take a few swings at the killer and get some dialogue out before he collapses. I can only suspend disbelief so much.
3) I won't "unmask" the scream killer or killer(s) (Ha!) but let's say at the end I was like what the? A killer would have to be in shape at least a little bit. When I cannot envision the killer even having enough strength  to properly chop  kitchen vegetables with a knife you know something is wrong.
4) I don't like David Arguette
5) Police actions and procedures are nothing like they would be in real life (small complaint)
6) Usually Anthony Anderson adds comedic relief or at least some extra entertaiment to a movie. Not in this one.

I could go on and on. I normally don't want horror movies anyways (I avoid straight torture movies). I was hoping this would be okay because normally slasher flicks have somewhat of a plot and some acting and not just straight gore. Watch at your own risk. I did not walk out so the movie has some positive to it.

700 Page Views !

I just want to give a big thanks to everyone following me. 700 views is not bad for a small blog about mail art. So to reward my loyal followers I present you with some random photos from when I visted Rouyn-Noranda (Quebec, Canada) with my friend a few weeks ago. Enjoy!

This is outside of the hotel.

This is me gathering postcrossing and mail art materials!

Is this CSI Rouyn-Noranda? See below where it was found!

See above!

This is an omelet I ordered at a greasy spoon. Or so I thought! See below.

Here I am outside the hotel! Look for my signature thumbs up!

The end.
