Happy Festivus!

Greetings followers. Today is a special holiday!!! Can you guess what it is?  It's Festivus!
If you are over 25 you may understand what all the excitement is about! If you are under 25 please watch reruns of Seinfeld and check google for more information.

So without further ado I give you step by step instructions to make your own Festivus Pole. Caution: results may vary. Here goes:

Step 1 - Assemble materials

Step 2 - Wrap cardboard pieces with duct tape

Step 3 - Wrap foil around the tube

Step 4 - Make sure Festivus Pole can stand upright

Step 5 - Pose for the camera

I hope everyone enjoyed this Festivus lesson. Happy Festivus for the rest of us!
And I'm so glad I got a haircut and a beard trim up. Another Festivus miracle!

Sleigh Ride!

So my Christmas vacation has officially begun. And I feel like the clock has started to the madness that I love and call Christmas time. I have tons of things to do (ie cleaning, wrapping gifts etc, visiting family and friends)  over the next week that I barely will have any time for the mail. So I have four hours right now of free time before the rush so I'm trying to finish up all my mail items.

So here goes :

This card is not really  Christmas themed but I sent it out to a person in Estonia. Their profile said they love any type of card. So I hope they like this.

This card came for my brothers account (which I ghost manage). I like it and I know my brother will love it.

I am jealous because the following also just came in for my brother :

This card shows how the first Finnish Christmas trees looked like. The sender also explained that they decorated the tree with "flag thread" which were flags that represented the closest Scandinavian countries. Finnish people also decorated the tree with candies, candles and glass balls (rich families). As I am part Finnish  (Laamanen) I appreciated this card and my brother will also. Thank you Minna!

Okay I'm out of time and have to head to martial arts. Merry Christmas everyone!

Stop! Christmas Time! (Alternative Title: I'm Back Baby!)

I have turned a new leaf in life because up till yesterday I was not feeling the Christmas spirit. But now I'm all over the it and I'm in such a good mood.  Here is a pic of me playing Santa that made me laugh. Wait - I meant I was filling in for Santa as he is such a busy guy. Ha!

Stop! Santa is in the house!

And here is me shopping in Quebec and helping Santa again:

Here is a postcard I received from Finland. Thank you Sari! I plan on framing this.

And this doesn't really fit the Christmas theme but I mailed this out to Finland today. This card was created by artists who do not have use of their arms. It was created by foot and mouth only.  The artists are based out of Toronto. I had meant to visit the agency last time I was in Toronto but I ran out of time. The postcrosser collects banknotes and stamps so I provided with some of my American surplus of money and stamps.

Well I'm out of time. I'm off to curling. Only 4 more days till I see my fav gal!
