Kramer and J Peterman

Hmmmmmm........... I was at a buddies last night and we were catching up on old times. He was telling stories and I was laughing a mile a minute. He has so many stories that I was scrambling to write down notes to remind myself later.I thought using his stories on my blog would help to jazz it up. (It reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine "purchased" Kramers life stories and changed them into Peterman stories for Petermans biography book.)

So maybe I could do that on this blog. I could tell some tall tales to make this blog more exciting. But alas right this moment I don't have time to give a story as I'm killing time at the coffee house and I only have few minutes left. If my evening plans fall through tonight maybe I will revisit this idea.

Did I mention I love Flight of the Concordes? I'm huge fan.

Paper-Boy

I went to see the move "The Fighter". I have to say its an awesome movie and way better than I expected. I wasn't in a rush to see it and I decided to go because a friend wanted to. This brings me to my current post:

Paperboy Madness

I guess I am a "true geek" though, because I swear I had more fun playing arcade games with my buddy then I did watching the movie.
They have an arcade machine with 60 in 1 classic arcade games. We played Paperboy, a no name wrestling game (forget the name) and Rampage. (My buddy never played Rampage in his life. I was like what?) And then we moved on to Pac-Man. We ran out of time so we had to abandon our quest to see how could get the best score in Pac-Man ( For the record I was winning)
Paperboy was a bust though. It brought back memories but it is a hard game. My only hope was to make sure the first house got its paper and then hold back on the joystick (your paperboy moves forward no matter what) and hope that my guy didn't crash into anything. I didn't even survive one day or half a block. The game over screen is hilarious though. It has a image of the "paperboy" lying on the curb with a paper sack over his head and a caption stating: worst paperboy ever. Classic man.

And of course playing arcade games brought back memories of previous arcade stories. Basically several years ago I showed up at the cinema with a bank tube of "loonies" (1 dollar coins) and me and my friends only goal was to beat "Star Trek Voyager" the arcade game. (It is a shooter game with a light gun). Well we managed to beat the game but burn our eyes out. Our eyes were literally watering as we completed the game. We got strange looks from the staff at the movies.
So I beat that game in Timmins and the when I went away to university by fluke the game was in the arcade lounge there and I beat it again. Ah arcade memories.....

Not Another Postcrossing Update!?!?

I want to just keep spreading the joy and excitement of postcrossing. My stats are improving (16 sent 13 received). I'm chomping at the bit because when you reach 20 sent postcards you are able to have 6 travelling at a time instead of 5. Every 20 sent increases your ability to send.

But alas if i talk about postcrossing all day it will look like I have no life. But half no fear - I have cultivated a life that keeps me busy. Because of martial arts and curling most weeks I'm always on the go after work. Often I don't get home till after 10 or 11. It makes for a busy and long week.

And it must be the mid-week blahs for me today because I'm not feeling the martial arts tonight. But I will force myself to go because I know that I will feel better after. (A natuarl high from exercise)

I have always mad ideas and side projects but I never get around to half of what I want to accomplish. I always say to myself: oh I want to read this book, learn this skill, watch this movie or get into this craft/hobby but nothing seems to pan out.

But when I do get something stuck in my head I often go for broke (ie postcrossing). I guess I'm weird like that. And look at me now I'm just rambling away again.

Hmmmmmm.......................... What else can I talk about?
I will get back to you on that.

Find all the Plugs!

So I was lucky to have someone show me the website: http://www.listen.grooveshark.com/. It is the best internet radio website out there. I think it will give my fav site http://www.icebergradio.com/ a run for its money.
On grooveshark you can play full albums and find any music you want and make your own playlists. And to top it off they also have full comedy albums (Mitch Hedberg and Lewis Black. Kaboom!) I'm listening to Lily Allen right now.

And don't forget my fav political website http://www.infowars.com/. And last but not least http://www.postcrossing.com/. And a shout out to my fav celebrity websites : http://www.dlisted.com/ (hilarious!) and http://www.tmz.com/.

6 plugs is good enough for me.

Huh?

Quick random story it went like this:

Background

I was in a National Grocers with some other people shopping. We were laughing and talking to each other as we were browsing the store. The clerk comes over. (sidenote: he looks a little creepy)

Clerk: Hey no laughing.

Us: Huh?

Clerk: No laughing. I don't have my first aid training. No laughing to death. I won't be able to save you.

Us: Oh! ( realizing its a joke) I'm sure one of us is trained and can save the other person.

Clerk: I can't afford first aid. Its too expensive.

Us: Okay.

Clerk: I won't be able to afford first aid training now. This store is closing.

Us: Oh. Sorry.

(Ackward silence)

Clerk: I don't know what I'm going to do.

(Silence)

Customer: Where is the salt and pepper?

Clerk: Salt and Pecker (sic) is this way. Let me show you.

We continued on our shopping. Unfortunately we got stuck at his checkout. We pushed the cart of groceries over to him to scan the items. The Clerk made a "beep beep" motion as if it was a truck backing up. Random and weird.
