I'm so far behind on mail art and postcrossing. Hopefully I can catch up tomorrow. Cross your fingers! I do have some random stories to tell to keep my blog up to date and keep the traffic coming to this site. Here goes:
1) Someone told me that she doesn't like Seinfeld but loves Two and a Half Men! What!!!?? Where do I even begin. If I was shallow that would be deal breaker right there.
2) The weather is great. It feels like summer already. Sort of.
3) I watched a McDonalds employee take out on his anger on the napkins as he used his fist to pound all the napkins into the dispenser. I doubt the napkins were "sanitary" anyways. One more handprint probably won't matter.
4) Man! I can't believe someone made 100 grand selling Osama is dead t-shirts. See http://www.tmz.com/ for details.

2 Fast 2 Furious
I have a bunch of little rants I want to talk about in no particular order:
1) My friend made a Osama joke (see previous entry) but I also want everyone to realize that making fun of something as serious as this is not something that should be made fun of.
2) My postcrossing days are slowing down. I won't be sending out many official postcards for postcrossing as much but I will be staying loyal to my direct swappers.
3) I went to see the new Fast Five movie. Below is the review.
Fast and the Furious Movie Review :
(Oops I Mean Fast Five)
I went in realizing that it is a movie that you have to suspend disbelief and just roll with it. It is the first of the summer blockbusters after all. With that being said I thought it was okay. The person I was with said it was awesome and she would go see it again. Whoah, Whoah in my head I thought. Once is good enough for me.
It is your typical action movie with a lot of "Furious" action and "Fast" stunts. Ha! I'm not going to overly critque it. It was fun and "fast". Ha again!
So here is a rundown of what it offers:
1) Fast cars (check)
2) Exciting locale (check)
3) Tons of action (check)
4) Greasy villian and corrupt cops (check)
5) Macho tough good guys (check)
6) Morally strong cop who bends the rules at the end (check)
7) Physics defying stunts (check)
8) Hot girls (check)
9) And my fav..... incorrect use of automatic weapons which includes firing from the hip (also my fav) (double check)

Bin Laden!
I am not one to get the masses stirred but here is the joke my buddy sent me this morning through text messaging:
" Early reports confirm that bin laden was so excited to read the adventures of rob blog that he left the caves before sundown only to be amushed by U.S forces. "
Classic all the way!
And I also got this text:
"Comic con, meeting chicks and now osama killed rab is on a roll "
I shouldn't be poking fun at international political events that have reprecussions for the world but I thought I would share this with my loyal fans.

Thanks Rain!
Due to circumstances beyond my control (ie leaky basement) I have to put my postcrossing and mail art activities on hold. Fear not! As soon as possible I will get things back to normal and and answer all my mail.
Yesterday I received 2 envelopes, and 9 postcards. I promise I will take care of that by the weekend and have everyone will be answered to.
(When will I take my own advice and update this blog more?I shouldn't be so hard on myself but that the last two weeks have been weird and/or crazy.)

Add-on!
.
Remember when I said I was having a bad week? Well postcrossing brought a smile to my face as this gem came in the mail. The person decided to make a "MacGuyver" style postcard and this was the result. My soured mood was replaced by a bit of joy realizing that someone took the time to send me something unique. So thanks again postcrosser and look for it on my wall!

15 years later we have this? (Alternative Title) Wanna see a scary movie? No.... you don't!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I am/was in a weird place but I'm back in action so don't you despair. And since people have told me they love my movie reviews (in person, through email and through postcards) I feel I must provide my audience with what they want! So with out further awaiting :
WARNING REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
I don't even know where to begin with this one! First off I dragged my friends and family to see this. That was a strike against me. Then we when we enter the movie we realize that the rest of the audience was teenagers who were all playing on their cell phones and giggling. Strike two. Broken smashed seats covered with garbage bags helps to round out the 3rd strike against me.
And the movie hadn't even started yet! That is a classic right there. So then the movie begins. (I should have blogged this last night when it was fresher in my mind). I just going to make a list of what was wrong. Here goes (in no particular order):
1) The dialogue was straight awful. It was like it was written for a new target audience of 16-20 year olds that haven't seen the original trilogy.
2) I know movies are never 100 percent realistic but c'mon here. Example: a character received a knife straight through the head (centre line above the eyes). The character is able to get out of his police car and take a few swings at the killer and get some dialogue out before he collapses. I can only suspend disbelief so much.
3) I won't "unmask" the scream killer or killer(s) (Ha!) but let's say at the end I was like what the? A killer would have to be in shape at least a little bit. When I cannot envision the killer even having enough strength to properly chop kitchen vegetables with a knife you know something is wrong.
4) I don't like David Arguette
5) Police actions and procedures are nothing like they would be in real life (small complaint)
6) Usually Anthony Anderson adds comedic relief or at least some extra entertaiment to a movie. Not in this one.
I could go on and on. I normally don't want horror movies anyways (I avoid straight torture movies). I was hoping this would be okay because normally slasher flicks have somewhat of a plot and some acting and not just straight gore. Watch at your own risk. I did not walk out so the movie has some positive to it.

Sample Stuff!
Here is some stuff I'm working on:
I thought I would start with tracing some circles on an envelope.
I was just fooling around with rainbow colors!
Fun with tracing!
Kate Perry + rainbows = ?
