This is just a quick update as I'm off to see a movie. Which one? I will keep you in suspense till next post. Apparently everyone loves my movie reviews on here so I will keep them coming. (When I say everyone -really it means two people. Ha!)
So in the meantime let me give you Rob's steps to an easy mail art project. It is 3 easy steps:
Step 1 : Grab a photo envelope!
Step 2: Insert postcard to be mailed!
Step 3: Find a picture of Aaron Eckhart (from Battle LA) and insert a witty caption!
How easy is that?

Just say no to the Bieb!
Well I'm finally caught up in my mail/postcrossing adventures. (Well almost caught up) I cranked out 2 direct letters today, 1 mail art card, and registered/scanned 10 postcards plus I made 3 postcards. And I still have 3 letters to respond to and make 2 more postcards. Yikes! This may be getting out of hand. It took me almost 3 hours to get this far tonight.
So I am pretty zonked but I will leave you with this:
I sent this as a postcard through www.postcrossing.com. It has not been registered yet but when it is what do you think the response will be on this one?

NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! (Alternative Title: The Dreaded Return to Sender!)
So yesterday I took a little stroll to my post box and I was excited when I seen some mail. Then I realized it was my own mail send back to me with this:
My MacGuyver art (as I like to call it) was short 31 cents. So I quickly paid the proper postage and sent it back on its way. Usually I bring all special mail to the post office to make sure the postage is the correct amount. I was in a hurry but I won't take that chance again.
Here is some photos of other work I have been mailing out:

Sucker Punch Blues (Alternative Title: Avoid this Movie!)
So I made a fatal mistake and went to see the movie Sucker Punch. I read the reviews and they were so-so. And yes I'm a guy so I thought seeing some women kick butt in a fantasy setting would be okay.
So where do I even begin? My friends wanted to leave after the first ten minutes but we kept hoping it would get better (it didn't). We toughed it out as long as we could humanly remain and still had 45m to go. We bailed at that marker. I think we left halfway. I can't even remember the last time I bailed on a movie at the cinema. Usually I hang in there.
So what is wrong with girls kicking butt and fantasy genres? (steam-punk, samuri, matrix etc) I'm glad you asked that cruical question. Let me answer it for you. I will just make a list:
1) Zero character development
2) Silly plot line, a story line and background that you could care less about
3) Action scenes that made no sense and copied from every other movie that we have seen before (Lord of the Rings, Matrix etc)
4) Women running around with machine guns mowing down everything from orcs to dragons to nazi demons to samuri warriors all with the same technique. (Shoot, slash, jump, kick repeat and rinse)
5) It basically mashed together multiple genres (fantasy, sci fi, orcs, world war 1 and everything else under the sun into one giant incoherent mess)
If you don't want to lose 2 hours of your life please avoid this. I can't understand all the postive reviews I am reading on www.imdb.com. It doesn't make sense.
This movie is cool if you are a ten year old boy. Everyone else please avoid. And you know I'm serious because someone told me "Whoah Rob if you left the movie halfway through it has to be really bad because you like all fantasy and weird movies. You sit through anything".
And people scoffed as we left as if it was some masterpiece. Thats a classic. When I was more excited to check my postcrossing and my friend was more excited to see the Phoniex Suns on tv you know the movie is bad.
And extra insult to injury: because I picked this mess to see and dragged my friends I lost my veto rights on the next pick. Classic again

Run Rabbit Run
Here is a sign that I use the post office too much. The post office gave me some free swagger for using their services so much. So as a good postcrosser does I'm passing some swag on to you.
So loyal readers: The first person to send me mail requesting this special item (see photo below) will get it! One Rule - It must have the tagline "Run Rabbit Run" on it somewhere!
(The actual size is the size of a thumb)
I reserve the right to publish the winners first name on this blog. Happy postcrosing!

Non-Mail News (My life can't all be about the mail!)
Update #1
It felt like a marathon of curling on March 21 2011. I curled at 6:30 and we won that game but it came right down to the wire. We thought we were cooked (we were behind most of the game) but battled back and scored 4 in the seventh end to have the other team on the ropes in the final end.
So we won that game and then because some of the other teams were short my brother and I stepped onto the ice again and played another game. It was cool to play against my brother and not with him this time.
I won that game too. (Sorry bro) And not to brag but I think I made most of my shots and was on a roll. My curling skills have improved. I finally have a feel for this game. (ex: fiquring out types of shots and plays)
So I curled from 6:30 pm and got off the ice at 10pm. That felt long, so I can only imgaine what it is like for professional curlers that curl 10 end games. Who said curling is not a workout?
Update #2
I took a chance and went to see the movie "Limitless". It does star two actors I like (Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro) It is an alright movie. I won't give too much away. There is some plot holes though. I don't want to spoil it though.
The thing that was annoying was that two people in the crowd sitting near me were giving a play by play of everything that was going on in the movie. THIS IS A PET PEEVE OF MINE. And I don't have many pet peeves.
Update #3
I went to see the movie Rango last week. WARNING: This movie is not for kids. Yet the movie was packed with kids! It is basically an adult western which is animated. I love westerns and this movie pays tribute to many westerns and even had a cameo by the (SPOILER ALERT) Man with No Name!
Update #4
All the postcards that I have been receiving with words of encouragement towards my goal of running a marathon may finally be rubbing off on me. I think I have my sets on running a full marathon in my old stomping grounds of Thunder Bay, Ontario in Sept 2011. I will keep you updated.
