Your Comments Answered!

1) To answer the person who asked if I have Biever fever: No sir, I do not! But I am miffed that Justin made 53 million last year.
2) To answer Mary and her question about decluttering: I have two words to describe it. Relief and satisfaction come to mind. I still have tons of clutter to go.

Post Office Story

So I am in the post office waiting in line behind the red sign which states line starts here. I was waiting in line and looking at the display of stamps on the table.

Customer : (Older gentleman)  Walks by me to the post office counter
Me: (Meek voice) Excuse me sir. The line starts behind this red sign over here.
Customer:  I know, I know but you were just fooling around over there.
Me: Huh?

The customer ended up letting me go ahead of him.

Spring Cleaning!

Well it is that time again. Time to spring clean and get rid of all the junk that can clutter up. So here is a rundown of the last couple of days:

1) I spent the weekend cleaning and going through junk. There was a grand total of 3 milk crates of stuff to donate, 1 garbage bag of junk and 1 recycle bin worth of papers that were no longer needed.

2) It felt good to be able to just hang out at home instead of always being on the grind and doing stuff.

3) The bird situation has got out of control. If you have been following this blog I can recap. A few months ago I put out bird seed in hopes of geting birds to come. Well flash forward 2 months and at any given time there are at least 10-20 birds feeding on the deck. It is cool to watch the birds on the deck but there is too much of a mess so I put the bird feeder at the bottom of the deck on the lawn. There are still tons of birds and I go through a lot of bird seed. I have to buy a huge bag tonight when I go home from work.
I can never get a good picture though as the birds always fly away when I step outside with the camera.

4) I watched "The Next 3 Days" yesterday. Here is where I shouldn't judge a movie by its preview and reviews. The movie wasn't mind blowing and was alright at best but the previews made it look like it was straight action- break wife out of jail and huge chase movie. Those previews were wrong. It was the complete opposite of the trailers and previews. Some of the movie was over the top but what can you do. My real beef was that the previews made it look like Liam Neelson was a main part of the movie. Wrong. He is in it for 5 minutes.

5) My mail complaint -Dear Canada Post: How is it that sometimes I can receive mail in a week from Europe but if someone mails me a letter from Thunder Bay to where I live (8 hours away) it can take a month or more? Just wondering.

6) Spam has reached my postcrossing forum inbox. I got a U2U message froma a random person who says they really love my postcrossing profile and that they would like me to send them a picture to the address xxxxx123@yahoo.com (something like that) so they could get to know me better. Classic

Let Us Not Disappoint!

Sorry that I have not posted in a while. What can I report on? Here goes:

1) Movies to review: "Vacany" is an awful movie and "The American" is alright but slow.*

2) Chipped teeth: I have bad teeth. No need to dance around it. The dentist is repairing two teeth again this afternoon for the at least the tenth time in 6 years or so.

3) Mail art:  I'm backed up as ususal. Hopefully this weekend I can catch up.

4) Exercise: I'm still on the grind. My arm is bruised from Kali (stick fighting). Nothing like some stick on arm grinding action to make you feel alive (or to just leave a bruise on your arm).

5) Weather: Each day it is +25 C out. No complaints there. This is rare where I live.

6) Other hobbies: Feel like playing Left 4 Dead 2 but never get around to it. C'mon , Coach climb those stairs. Ha!

7) Fun fact: My favorite song right now is Colorless Color by La Roux. Check it out on youtube.

* Sorry to the person that I watched this movie with. I know I agreed to rent it on your recommendation but I can not endorse this as a watchable movie. "The American" was my choice as a rental and that was the best I could do with 5 minutes to rent a movie at Blockbuster before I had to be somewhere else.

Non-Mail Art Update!

I'm so far behind on mail art and postcrossing. Hopefully I can catch up tomorrow. Cross your fingers! I do have some random stories to tell to keep my blog up to date and keep the traffic coming to this site. Here goes:

1) Someone told me that she doesn't like Seinfeld but loves Two and a Half Men! What!!!?? Where do I even begin. If I was shallow that would be deal breaker right there.

2) The weather is great. It feels like summer already. Sort of.

3) I watched a McDonalds employee take out on his anger on the napkins as he used his fist to pound all the napkins into the dispenser. I doubt the napkins were "sanitary" anyways. One more handprint probably won't matter.

4) Man! I can't believe someone made 100 grand selling Osama is dead t-shirts. See http://www.tmz.com/ for details.

2 Fast 2 Furious

I have a bunch of little rants I want to talk about in no particular order:

1) My friend made a Osama joke  (see previous entry) but I also want everyone to realize that making fun of something as serious as this is not something that should be made fun of.
2) My postcrossing days are slowing down. I won't be sending out many official postcards for postcrossing as much but I will be staying loyal to my direct swappers.
3) I went to see the new Fast Five movie. Below is the review.

Fast and the Furious Movie Review :
(Oops I Mean Fast Five)

I went in realizing that it is a movie that you have to suspend disbelief and just roll with it. It is the first of the summer blockbusters after all. With that being said I thought it was okay. The person I was with said it was awesome and she would go see it again. Whoah, Whoah in my head I thought. Once is good enough for me.

It is your typical action movie with a lot of "Furious" action and "Fast" stunts. Ha! I'm not going to overly critque it. It was fun and "fast". Ha again!

So here is a rundown of what it offers:

1) Fast cars (check)
2) Exciting locale (check)
3) Tons of action (check)
4) Greasy villian and corrupt cops (check)
5) Macho tough good guys (check)
6) Morally strong cop who bends the rules at the end (check)
7) Physics defying stunts (check)
8) Hot girls (check)
9) And my fav..... incorrect use of automatic weapons which includes firing from the hip (also my fav) (double check)

Bin Laden!

I am not one to get the masses stirred but here is the joke my buddy sent me this morning through text messaging:

" Early reports confirm that bin laden was so excited to read the adventures of rob blog that he left the caves before sundown only to be amushed by U.S forces. "

Classic all the way!

And I also got this text:

"Comic con, meeting chicks and now osama killed rab is on a roll "

I shouldn't be poking fun at international political events that have reprecussions for the world but I thought I would share this with my loyal fans.

Thanks Rain!

Due to circumstances beyond my control (ie leaky basement) I have to put my postcrossing and mail art activities on hold. Fear not! As soon as possible I will get things back to normal and and answer all my mail.
Yesterday I received 2 envelopes, and 9 postcards. I promise I will take care of that by the weekend and have everyone will be answered to.

(When will I take my own advice and update this blog more?I shouldn't be so hard on myself but that the last two weeks have been weird and/or crazy.)
