Heal Thy Arm!

Well my arm is almost healed which is awesome. This means I can start back to martial arts next week. I have missed almost two weeks and I feel like the laziest person on the planet right now. But don't worry I will return to action full throttle next week.
My arm is itchy like crazy though and I lost a bit of hair on my arm from using so many band-aids. Classic.
I have tons of things to talk about and I could ramble all day with stories. I'm don't have a lot of time but I will leave you with some "Classic" random pictures. Here goes:

My favorite store in Sudbury!

My second!

My third! Ha. Well not really a store per se.

My coffee plant tree has seen better days! Will it ever grow a coffee bean?

Smurfs vs Planet of the Apes!

I finished watching the Smurf movie and I went in thinking it was going to be the usual Hollywood machine made mess but imagine my surprise when I actually enjoyed it. But if you read the www.imdb.com website and read the movie reviews it makes me look like I have lost my mind. Apparently all the people on there think it is stupid and has ruined the beloved Smurf experience they knew and loved. I leave it up to you to decide!

Now I am off to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Look for a review to follow. I love Sci-fi so I am biased going in. (Ie you should see some of the Sci-fi movies I have endorsed in the past that people have never heard of or would ever watch but I consider gems. Westworld anyone?)

I will leave you with my best Jerry Seinfeld impression:

Why does a tree grow up? Why can't it grow sideways? Hey oh!

What is with all the arm injuries????

Sorry I haven't been in action lately! I contacted a somekind of skin disease and I have been out of action for the week. I missed two days of work and two days of martial arts and I have basically been spending my free time napping and resting my arm.

Somehow I picked up a infection last week on my arm and it was spreading. I went to the hospital and they had me see a dermatologist the next day and he prescribed antibiotics and a cream to put on it. I was nervous the first few days as it didn't seem to be getting better but luckily it is almost gone now.
And as a weird coincidence my buddy broke his arm. So we are both out of action. Isn't that funny? Anyways, here is a photo:

You don't want to see underneath this!

I'm in hurry but I leave you with these photos:

The worlds smallest phone booth. Ha!

Maybe this is how I got my arm infection! LOL.

Who doesn't love Big Bang Theory?

Well my race medal finally arrived in China! It actually arrived awhile ago but I recieved the photo (physical proof) today. Basically before July I mailed a race medal to one lucky postcrosser and it has now reached its destination.  Sorry I'm not giving you an exact date for the travel time but it feels like roughly two months. I will track down the tracking number later and update it!

In Canada! Ready to ship.

A big thanks to Li for participating in this mail adventure! (insert a round of applause here). Li told me that she loves Big Bang Theory. It is a fantastic show that I always  tell myself I should watch more often. It is on my agenda. I must say though that I have been wearing comic book t-shirts long before the show made it "cool". Take care Li and see and you in the mail!

Arrival in China!

Since we are on the topic of Big Bang Theory, here is a little scenario that went down when I was in a Dairy Queen in Chelmsford Ontario last Friday. Here goes:

Scenario:

(Standing in line at Dairy Queen)

Cashier: Can I help the next person in line?

Me: (approach counter)

Cashier (glances at my DC comics t-shirt)

Cashier: I love your shirt.

Me: Ummm. Thanks.

Cashier: I love DC way more than Marvel. I always get into arguements with my friends about DC and Marvel and which characters are better....... continues on...... continues on.....

I have to give a shout out to this DC loving cashier. Long live the King! Oops that' Burger King. Do the Q. Wait that doesn't sound right. Errr.. I mean thanks for noticing my comic book t-shirt Dairy Queen worker!

So this leads into the perfect blog challenge. Which comic book universe characters are better? Marvel or DC? Discuss away and I look forward to seeing some comments.

Seinfeld Postcard!

Thank you to the pen-pal that sent me a Seinfeld postcard! It is much appreciated. I will scan it and upload it for my fans next week. On to other news:

  1. In Canada it is a long weekend (Monday is a holiday) so I'm off to Sudbury Ontario to do some golfing and hang out with my friends brother who also is a good friend of mine. My favorite Vietamese restaurant closed (awwww) but I'm sure I find somewhere cool to eat (All you can eat Sushi anyone?)
  2. The weather is still super hot here (30 Celsius and plus) so I'm sweltering and sweating out the heat. I still keep going to martial arts even though it feels like a sauna when I wear the GI.
  3. I'm still sunburned from last Sunday. Classic. It is not as sore anymore. I had to lay on my side to sleep. (The opposite of my regular side which throws me for a loop. Ha.)
  4. Hmmmmm..... Time to go because I have the afternoon off. Later loyal followers.

I am a Warrior!

Well summer if flying by! The postcards are trickling in and I finally had a free night to catch up on some mail art. I completed 3 mail art items. That is a far cry from the ten items I used to complete in on sitting. I have tons of photos and things to put on my blog. I have to start somewhere so here are the rest of the Warrior Dash photos:

Go Warriors!

My least favorite station!
Hey Oh! Over the flames we go!

Almost there! Have to power through!
Yes! Made it!
Survived!
Hose down!
The aftermath!
R.I.P: My running shoes

Well that is it for now, for next time I promise more NYC photos. Then I could put that all to rest and focus on mail art and postcrossing.
